Beijing:China's ship exports have seen a substantial increase of 24.6 percent in value during the first nine months of this year, largely attributed to a notable rise in the export of liquid-cargo carriers.
According to Yemen News Agency, data from the General Administration of Customs revealed that the value of China's ship exports amounted to approximately 358.92 billion yuan (about 53.75 billion US dollars) between January and September. Concurrently, the total number of vessels exported increased by 1.6 percent, totaling 5,083 ships.
In the first three quarters, exports of 300,000-ton class oil tankers, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers experienced significant double-digit growth. Liquid-cargo carriers, in particular, were identified as a major contributor to this growth, with the number exported rising by 76.7 percent to 394 vessels. The value of these exports saw an impressive surge of 140.1 percent, reaching about 140.66 billion yuan.
