Mohammed Abdul Salam: Saudi Regime Bears Full Responsibility for Bombing of Sana’a Airport

Sana'a: The head of the national negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul Salam, held the Saudi regime fully responsible for the bombing of Sana'a International Airport. Mohammed Abdul Salam said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba): "Without any right or justification, the Saudi regime bombed Sana'a International Airport with a number of airstrikes, in a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and a major breach of the 2022 truce."

According to Yemen News Agency, Abdul Salam highlighted that this direct Saudi military aggression, targeting a sovereign facility such as Sana'a International Airport, is a continuation of aggression that began in 2015. He emphasized that this act reveals the true intentions of the regime, suggesting it is behind the siege imposed on Yemen. He accused the Saudi regime of being aggressive and unwilling to engage in peaceful relations with Yemen, instead aiming to subjugate the neighboring country, depriving it of decision-making, independence, and sovereignty.

He further noted that since the truce agreement, the Saudi regime has been urged to implement the roadmap swiftly. However, it has continued to procrastinate, rejecting solutions to reopen Sana'a International Airport and failing to take responsibility or fulfill peace requirements.

The head of the national negotiating delegation asserted that the Saudi regime is fully accountable for this new aggression, warning that it will not remain unanswered. He underscored that self-defense and the defense of the homeland and the people is a duty and a legitimate right affirmed by both Islamic and international law.
