Muscat Stock Exchange Index Dips Slightly by 0.01%


Sana’a: The Muscat Stock Exchange 30 Index concluded trading on Sunday at 7,646.64 points, experiencing a marginal decline of 1.05 points, equivalent to 0.01 percent, from its prior close of 7,647.69 points.



According to Yemen News Agency, the trading value on the exchange surged to 43 million and 362,259 Omani rials, marking an increase of 31.7 percent compared to the previous session’s trading value of 32 million and 919,754 Omani rials. The daily report from the Muscat Stock Exchange indicated a decrease in market capitalization by 0.023 percent, settling at approximately 39.44 billion Omani rials.



Non-Omani investors played a significant role in the day’s trading activities, with purchases amounting to 4.306 million Omani rials, which constituted 9.93 percent of total trading. Their sales, on the other hand, amounted to 3.701 million Omani rials, representing 8.54 percent. Consequently, net non-Omani investment saw an increase of 605,000 Omani rials, accounting for 1.39 percent.
