Muscat Stock Exchange Sees Slight Index Increase

Sana'a: The Muscat Stock Exchange "30" index closed today at 7,481.70 points, marking a rise of 15.2 points or 0.20 percent compared to the previous trading session, which closed at 7,466.53 points.

According to Yemen News Agency, the trading value witnessed a decline, amounting to 43,597,987 Omani riyals, which is a decrease of 14.1 percent from the previous session's trading value of 50,748,629 Omani riyals. Despite the drop in trading value, the daily report issued by the Muscat Stock Exchange indicated a slight increase in market capitalization, which rose by 0.074 percent to approximately 38.11 billion Omani riyals.

The report further highlighted the activity of non-Omani investors on the exchange. The value of non-Omani purchases reached 6,314,000 Omani riyals, accounting for 14.48 percent of the total purchases. Meanwhile, non-Omani sales were recorded at 6,151,000 Omani riyals, representing 14.11 percent of the total sales. Consequently, non-Omani net investment increased by 162,000 Omani riyals, reflecting a 0.37 percent rise.
