Sana'a: The National Team for Simplifying Procedures and Improving Service Quality continued Tuesday its field visits to provide technical and advisory support to public service units, including the Public Authority for Social Insurance. During a meeting chaired by Deputy Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development Anas Sufyan, the team reviewed with Social Insurance Authority Director Sharf al-Din al-Kohlani the progress made in implementing recommendations from the first phase of service assessment and the support needed to advance reforms.
According to Yemen News Agency, the team emphasized the need for rapid, qualitative improvements in services provided to businesses and insured private-sector workers by reducing lengthy procedures, diversifying service channels, and implementing an effective complaints system. The team expressed readiness to support the authority in overcoming obstacles and achieving full digital transformation.
Officials noted that reforms will proceed along two parallel tracks: Immediate operational steps, including improving customer reception, streamlining processes, eliminating repeated document requests, and completing each service within a defined timeline. Digital transformation, involving expanded automation, interactive online platforms, smart applications, and performance dashboards to monitor workflow and enhance user satisfaction.
The Deputy Minister praised the institution's efforts in meeting the requirements of the three-stage evaluation and development process. For his part, al-Kohlani outlined the authority's progress in fulfilling recommendations from the first phase and its readiness to complete the remaining requirements in cooperation with the national team.
