US-Saudi-Emirati Airstrikes Mark Tragic Anniversary of Attacks in Yemen

Sana'a: On this day, December 2, history recalls the tragic events marked by US-Saudi-Emirati airstrikes that resulted in a significant loss of life and widespread destruction across various provinces in Yemen. The day is remembered as a somber reminder of the ongoing conflict that has deeply affected the lives of many Yemenis.

According to Yemen News Agency, on December 2, 2015, airstrikes launched by the aggression led to the martyrdom and wounding of Bedouins from a single family in the Al Abu Jabara area of Kitaf district, Saada province. In the Maran area of Haydan district, six airstrikes targeted homes and farms, causing complete destruction. In Taiz city, aircraft targeted a mobile medical clinic operated by Doctors Without Borders, resulting in the death of three citizens and injuries to others.

The aggression's attacks continued in the Hamdan district of Sana'a province, where one citizen was martyred and two others wounded. Marib province saw several airstrikes in the Haqeel and Al-Mashjah areas, as well as on the Al-Mukhdara area in Al-Jada'an. In Hajjah province, four airstrikes on the Aahim triangle led to casualties among civilians and damaged transportation routes.

On December 2, 2016, five citizens lost their lives and three were wounded due to airstrikes on commercial establishments in Saada province. Additional strikes and rocket shelling caused casualties and damage in other areas, including Sana'a and Al-Jawf provinces.

The following year, on December 2, 2017, airstrikes in Saada province killed seven citizens, including children and women. The aggression also launched multiple airstrikes in Hajjah province, further compounding the humanitarian toll.

In 2018, Apache helicopter fire resulted in the deaths of three citizens in Saada province, while extensive shelling damaged homes and farms. In Al-Bayda and Sana'a provinces, a series of airstrikes caused significant property damage.

The onslaught continued on December 2, 2019, with rocket and artillery fire wounding civilians in Saada province. Mercenaries launched missile attacks in Hodeida province, further exacerbating the conflict.

On December 2, 2020, airstrikes targeted Sana'a International Airport and various locations in Marib and Hajjah provinces, causing damage to both public and private properties. The use of spy aircraft and artillery shelling added to the destruction.

The violence persisted into December 2, 2021, as airstrikes and artillery fire resulted in casualties in Saada province. Airstrikes also targeted areas near Sana'a International Airport and various districts in Marib and Hajjah provinces.

Most recently, on December 2, 2022, spy aircraft conducted airstrikes in Hodeida province, while mercenaries constructed new fortifications and continued shelling in the region, highlighting the ongoing nature of the conflict.
