Sana'a: The Committee for Preparing Standard Specifications for Oil, Gas and Minerals at the Ministry of Oil and Minerals held its final meeting on Tuesday, chaired by Deputy Minister Mohammed Al-Najjar.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed the work completed as part of the committee's mandate and the efforts made over the past period to prepare a comprehensive technical reference reflecting the standards and specifications applicable to the oil, gas, and minerals sectors.
The deputy minister stated that the ministry is now reaping the results of the committee's efforts in reviewing, studying, and preparing the specialized technical content. He explained that the reference provides comprehensive technical specifications for crude oil, petroleum products and gas, as well as minerals of various types, providing a specialized technical resource aimed at standardizing relevant criteria and specifications across these vital sectors.
Al-Najjar described the preparation of the reference as an important step toward developing technical and regulatory work in the oil, gas, and minerals sectors, noting that it will provide accurate information and specifications for decision-makers, investors, researchers, academics, technical bodies, specialists, and others interested in the field.
He commended the efforts of the committee's chair and members and their commitment and sense of responsibility in completing the specialized technical work. The deputy minister called for continued efforts to develop and update standards and specifications in line with technical requirements and to enhance the efficiency of work in the oil, gas, and minerals sectors.
