Sana'a: Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi, has been honored by Thabat Development Foundation, the Waste Recycling Unit, and the 'Care for Your Livestock' initiative for his pivotal role in supporting national initiatives aimed at developing alternative animal feed production.
According to Yemen News Agency, the recognition ceremony underscored Mahdi's contributions to a project focused on recycling waste materials to produce concentrated, alternative animal feed. This initiative is crucial for the development of livestock and the promotion of local production, which are vital to Yemen's economy.
Dr. Mahdi reiterated the Authority's dedication to supporting projects that bolster the national economy and enhance local production. He emphasized the essential cooperation required among government bodies and community initiatives to optimally utilize available resources. Supporting alternative feed projects, he noted, could significantly lower production costs for farmers and livestock breeders, thus fostering self-sufficiency. Additionally, he highlighted the economic and environmental benefits of recycling and waste reduction.
The ceremony also recognized the efforts of Deputy Finance Minister for Expenditures, Aqeel Al-Muayyad, along with several officials from the Tax and Customs Authority, for their contributions to this impactful project.
