Capital Secretariat Recognizes Winning Schools in Curriculum Competition Across Three Districts

Sana'a: The Education Sector of the Capital Secretariat, in collaboration with the Modern Specialized University, celebrated public and private schools that emerged victorious in the curriculum competitions for the secondary stage (Science Track - Boys) within the districts of Bani Al-Harith, Shuoub, and Al-Thawra. These schools have advanced to the final competition at the Secretariat level.

According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hatem Al-Duaiss, emphasized that this recognition signifies the partnership between higher education and general education. He encouraged schools to continue their pursuit of creativity and excellence. Dr. Al-Duaiss commended the efforts of the Capital Secretariat's Education Office and the Modern Specialized University in fostering activities and competitions, thereby promoting a culture of positive competition among students.

He further highlighted that this initiative serves as a model of integration between higher and general education and demonstrates a commitment to social responsibility. The ministry values scientific competitions for their role in developing critical thinking and creativity, enhancing students' abilities, and nurturing an innovative generation.

Abdulqader Al-Mahdi, Head of the Education Sector at the Secretariat, expressed gratitude to the Modern Specialized University. He noted that the competition has elevated the level of academic rivalry among schools, motivating students to be diligent and hardworking, while reinforcing the school's role in shaping a comprehensive scientific personality among students.

University President Dr. Mujahid Al-Jabr affirmed that supporting curriculum competitions aligns with the university's vision and community mission. He remarked that outstanding students form the nucleus of the future and are the most significant investment in nation-building.

The event, attended by directors of educational zones in Bani Al-Harith, Abdul-Salam Al-Ghouli, and Shuoub, Khaled Al-Jamrah, along with the University's Secretary-General Dr. Safwan Al-Jabr, featured a presentation by Khaled Al-Aqbi, Director of Relations at the Education Sector. He explained that the winning schools are set to participate in the final competition at the Secretariat level on Sunday, with 47 public and private boys' schools and 49 girls' schools vying for the top three spots in basic and secondary education.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of shields and certificates of appreciation to educational zone directors, department heads, guidance teams, and the winning schools.
