Sanaa: The Sanaa-based Change and Construction Government has renewed on Friday its pledge to follow the path of the martyred leaders and continue along their course regardless of the sacrifices required.
According to Yemen News Agency, in a statement marking the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahwi and several fellow ministers in a criminal and treacherous Israeli aggression on Yemen, the government said their deaths marked the culmination of a long struggle in which they had faced difficult circumstances and challenges with steadfastness and courage.
The government's statement affirmed that Yemen's sacrifice of a group of senior leaders was an honor for a state that had devoted its capabilities to supporting the causes of the broader Muslim nation. It said the sacrifice reflected the highest forms of Islamic unity and solidarity, which contributed to thwarting the enemy's plans and efforts.
The statement said that during the Promised Victory and Holy Jihad campaign, the blood of Yemeni martyrs was shed alongside that of martyrs from Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq in confronting a common enemy seeking to establish 'Greater Israel' and reshape the Middle East.
'Yemen is a factory of heroes and leaders,' the statement said, adding that every leader killed on the battlefield is replaced by dozens more, 'with no retreat, weakness or hesitation in the cause of Allah.' It reaffirmed Yemen's commitment to its stated positions, saying that Israeli and U.S. attacks had only strengthened the determination of its leadership and people.
It clarified that under the leadership of revolutionary leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi and the role of the Supreme Political Council, headed by Mahdi al-Mashat, the enemy's plans had been thwarted and had failed to achieve their objectives through the aggression.
The statement added that the government had continued its 'path of the government in Sanaa, with firm determination to complete programs and plans established by the martyred leaders.
It described martyrdom as a high rank sought by devout Muslims and said the Yemeni people would continue to make sacrifices in support of the causes and holy sites of the Muslim nation, citing the principles of resisting injustice and supporting the oppressed.
The government's statement affirmed that the Change and Construction Government stressed that Yemen's support for the Palestinian people and their cause remains unchanged and principled, adding that it would not abandon its responsibility to support Muslim peoples subjected to aggressive attacks.
