Palestinian Researcher Links Yemen’s Battle to Palestine’s Struggle Against Zionism

Sana'a:Palestinian researcher and activist Dr. Mohammed Al-Buhaisi asserted that Yemen's current conflict is a continuation of Palestine's ongoing struggle against the Zionist project and its allies. He made these remarks during an intellectual seminar at Sana'a University, held to commemorate the third anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Buhaisi emphasized that attempts to incite sectarian division and weaken regional unity have failed. In his presentation titled "Al-Aqsa Flood and October 14 Regional and Global Fronts United Against the Zionist Narrative," he underlined Yemen's key role in the united fronts supporting Palestine in its quest for freedom and independence.

Dr. Al-Buhaisi further stated that the Zionist project, which involves Jewish, Christian, and Arab elements, targets both Palestine and Yemen. He noted that the Al-Aqsa Flood aimed to awaken global awareness and transition the resistance axis from coordination to active engagement.

He highlighted the ongoing significance of Al-Quds in regional struggles, tracing its importance from early Palestinian resistance movements to the Battle of the Sword of Al-Quds. He also pointed out efforts to divide Palestinian and Arab entities, including Gaza, the West Bank, and Palestinian communities in occupied territories and refugee camps. However, he credited Al-Aqsa Flood with renewing national solidarity.

The researcher mentioned Hezbollah's involvement in the conflict on October 8, 2023, which led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Israeli settlers from northern occupied Palestine and compelled Israeli forces to reallocate military resources away from Gaza.

Despite geographical and logistical challenges, Dr. Al-Buhaisi praised Yemen's unique model of support for Palestine, noting its strategic initiatives such as restricting Israeli shipping in the Red Sea and launching attacks reaching the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean. He argued that Yemen's actions demonstrate how obstacles can be overcome with strategic planning and political determination.

Dr. Al-Buhaisi concluded by affirming Yemen's commitment to jihad, resistance, and steadfast support for Palestine, insisting that the leadership views Gaza and Sana'a as inseparable. He asserted that prioritizing Palestine has garnered divine support for Yemen, and the struggle against American and Zionist dominance continues.
