Rights Report on Saudi-Emirati Occupation in Southern Yemen Nears Completion

Dhaka:Al-Gharsi Zaid Al-Gharsi, head of the Nada Al-Karama Center for Rights and Development, has announced the nearing completion of a report that documents human rights violations linked to the Saudi-Emirati occupation in southern Yemeni governorates covering the period from December 2015 to December 2025.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Gharsi stated that the report, set to be revealed shortly, is the sole documentation of such violations in these occupied regions. It has been prepared following international standards and includes previously undisclosed statistics on crimes and violations against people, the environment, and state institutions.

The report is expected to outline how the Saudi-led coalition's intervention in southern Yemen, which began in July 2015, developed into what Al-Gharsi describes as a full-fledged occupation. This occupation, he claims, has been marked by security chaos, including assassinations, bombings, and killings, despite initial promises of improving conditions and transforming Aden into a modern city akin to Dubai.

Al-Gharsi called on journalists and activists, particularly those involved in political, cultural, economic, human rights, and humanitarian fields, to disseminate information on these violations. He emphasized the importance of exposing what he terms Saudi crimes in both northern and southern Yemen, to raise awareness among local, regional, and international audiences.
