Sana'a: Several executive offices in Sana'a governorate organized on Monday a speech event to commemorate the annual anniversary of the "Screaming in the Face of Arrogance," a movement launched by the late martyr leader Hussein al-Houthi, emphasizing resistance against global imperialism and Zionism.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event, held by the branches of various institutions such as Telecommunications, Electricity, Water and Sanitation, Oil and Gas, and several other local agencies, saw significant participation from various sectors of society. The gathering reaffirmed the central message of the movement, which was to reject oppression and imperialism, particularly from the U.S. and Israel.
Abdulqader Al-Jilani, Secretary-General of Sana'a governorate, highlighted the importance of the Qur'anic project initiated by the martyr leader, saying it aimed to revive the nation and redirect the focus of the struggle toward the true enemies. He described the slogan "Screaming in the Face of Arrogance" as a declaration of disassociation from the enemies of Allah and a call for dignity, freedom, and resistance against global hegemonic powers.
Al-Jilani emphasized the need to commemorate this anniversary as a means to draw lessons, enhance readiness, and strengthen the resolve to confront the ongoing conspiracies against the nation. He called for a collective awakening to resist external interference and domination.
In his speech, Sana'a undersecretary Taleb Dahan discussed the deep meanings and significance of the slogan, explaining how it mobilized the nation to face imperialist forces. He elaborated on the historical stages of the slogan's rise and the pivotal role the martyr leader, Hussein al-Houthi, played in awakening the nation from complacency, leading them to adopt a proactive and resolute stance against destructive projects that target the nation's identity and faith.
The event also included speeches from Abdullah Amer, Director of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance in the province, Abdulmalik al-Jadabi, Deputy Director of the Social Welfare Fund, and Ridwan al-Mahya, member of the Yemeni Scholars Association. They discussed the objectives and historical context behind the slogan, emphasizing its role in galvanizing the nation and rejecting foreign domination.
The speeches underscored the importance of the anniversary as a means to reinforce the nation's religious identity, uphold moral values, and strengthen unity in the face of external challenges.
