Sana’a Seminar Discusses Imam Ali’s Guardianship, Its Role in Reform, Accountability

Sana'a: A seminar held in the capital Sana'a and organized by the Yemen Scholars Association and the Central Organization for Control and Auditing examined the concept of Imam Ali's guardianship and its role in strengthening internal reform and protecting society from external influence, with the participation of scholars and officials.

According to Yemen News Agency, the seminar featured two papers. The first explored the administrative and oversight principles associated with Imam Ali's approach, comparing them with modern concepts of accountability and governance. The second focused on the concept of guardianship and its role in safeguarding the nation and promoting unity.

Participants emphasized the importance of drawing on the ethical and administrative values attributed to Imam Ali's school of thought to enhance oversight and accountability mechanisms.

The seminar's recommendations also stressed raising awareness of the principle of guardianship as a means of addressing contemporary challenges facing the Muslim community, while reaffirming support for regional causes, particularly the Palestinian issue.
