Sana’a University Council Approves Significant Faculty Expansion and Strategic Initiatives

Sana'a: The Council of Sana'a University, under the leadership of President Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaity, has approved 84 new faculty positions while promoting 22 existing faculty members. They have also given the green light to the university's strategic plan for the years 2027-2031 and have established a supervisory committee to oversee its implementation.

According to Yemen News Agency, the council has taken significant steps towards improving accessibility and academic resources. This includes a 50% tuition reduction for graduates who completed their studies five or more years ago, the launch of a comprehensive new website network comprising 60 sites in Arabic and 60 in English, and the unification of academic plans across several faculties.

In addition to these initiatives, the council has approved scholarships for administrative staff, offering 3 Master's and 3 PhD scholarships. It has also exempted blind students from the mathematical statistics requirement in theoretical colleges, ratified the results of postgraduate examinations, and authorized hourly contracts for 122 faculty members.
