Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted scattered rainfall and dust-laden winds over several governorates in the coming 24 hours. According to Yemen News Agency, the center issued a weather bulletin predicting varying-intensity rainfall, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, across the governorates of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Sana'a, Al Mahwit, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, and Taiz. Scattered rainfall is also expected over parts of Al Jawf, Marib, Al Bayda, Al Dhale'a, eastern Al Hodeida, and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan. The center highlighted that active winds from the Empty Quarter, carrying dust, will likely impact the deserts of Al Mahrah, Hadramout, Marib, and Al Jawf over the next two days. The center has issued warnings to citizens regarding the potential for flowing torrents in valleys and ravines. It advised against being present in these areas or attempting to cross them during and after rainfall. Additionally, there are concerns about decreased horizontal visib ility on roads and mountainous slopes due to rainfall and fog formation. The center also cautioned the elderly, children, and individuals with respiratory conditions in desert areas about the health effects of dust exposure.
