Security Directorate of Al-Mahwit Governorate Commemorates Anniversary of Battle of Badr, Martyrdom of Imam Ali

Al-mahwit: The Security Directorate of Al-Mahwit Governorate organized a cultural seminar on the anniversary of the Great Battle of Badr and the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

According to Yemen News Agency, the seminar was attended by several key figures including the Deputy Director of Governorate Security, Brigadier Khaled Al-Shammam, the Deputy General Mobilization Official in the governorate, Amer Al-Aqhomi, the Educational Sector Official, Ibrahim Al-Zain, and the Director of Al-Madinah District, Ibrahim Al-Nasser. Cultural activist Zakaria Al-Jandabi emphasized the significance of the Great Battle of Badr, highlighting its role as a pivotal historical event that distinguished truth from falsehood.

Al-Jandabi elaborated that the Battle of Badr is recognized as one of the most pivotal battles in Islamic history, showcasing the virtues of patience, steadfastness, and sacrifice in the defense of religion. He also reviewed the notable actions of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in supporting the Messenger (peace be upon him and his family) and the Islamic cause.

He stressed the importance of drawing inspiration from these historical values to address contemporary challenges and the need to uphold a strong faith identity. Meanwhile, the Director of Public Relations and Moral Guidance at the Governorate Security, Lieutenant Colonel Shihab Amer, underscored the value of commemorating such religious events to deepen understanding of the principles of jihad and sacrifice, and highlighted the divine victory granted during the Battle of Badr.
