Sana'a: Member of the Supreme Political Council Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor and Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi officially inaugurated the new academic year 1447 AH across the Capital Sana'a and other governorates on Saturday. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration and Rural Development Mohammed al-Madani, and Minister of Education, Scientific Research, and Higher Education Hassan al-Sa'adi, who extended their congratulations to students nationwide.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Bin Habtoor highlighted the resilience of the Yemeni people in the face of ongoing challenges, stating that despite the aggression and siege, the educational process remains undeterred. He emphasized the importance of education in achieving national development goals and praised the Yemeni people's steadfastness and unity in the face of adversity.
Prime Minister al-Rahawi echoed these sentiments, commending the significant student turnout on the first day of classes. He urged students to be diligent in their studies, stressing the importance of knowledge in achieving advancement in various fields, particularly the economy. Al-Rahawi also encouraged students to maintain the cleanliness and integrity of their school facilities.
Minister Hassan al-Sa'adi underscored the critical role of education in the nation's renaissance and called for collective efforts to ensure the success of the educational process. He praised the dedication of educators and students alike, acknowledging the challenges posed by the ongoing aggression in Yemen.
Hadi Ammar, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Basic Education, reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to overcoming obstacles and ensuring the academic year's success. He noted that preparations had been completed to welcome over six million students across public and private schools.
