Mukalla: The Speaker of the Shura Council, Mohammed Al-Aidaroos, sent a message of condolence and sympathy on the death of the poet and educator Ahmed Saeed Busabaa, one of the most prominent poets of Hadramawt Governorate, who passed away after a life rich in creative and educational contributions.
According to Yemen News Agency, in his message of condolence to the family of the deceased, the Speaker emphasized that the nation has lost a towering literary figure with the passing of Busabaa, one of the giants of a bygone era who harnessed words and melodies to serve the causes of society and the nation.
He noted the unique mark the deceased left on the hearts of the city of Mukalla and Hadramawt in general, embodied in his renowned poetry collection “Shawqtni al-Mukalla” (Mukalla Has Made Me Long for You) and his poems that blended tradition and modernity, as well as his active participation in religious and national events.
He highlighted the deceased’s pioneering role as a teacher, writer, and prominent social and sporting figure who enjoyed significant official and popular recognition, culminating in his being awarded the Sana’a Shield as the Capital of Arab Culture and having a street in Mukalla named after him.
Al-Aidaroos expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the deceased and his relatives in the city of Mukalla and the Al Busaba’a tribe in the entire Hadramawt Governorate, as well as to the Yemeni cultural and literary community, asking Allah Almighty to grant him His abundant mercy, admit him to Paradise, and grant everyone patience and solace. “To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.”
