Taiz: The General Administration of the Cleansing and Improvement Fund in Taiz Province organized a commemorative event marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. In his address on behalf of the local authority, Muhammad Al-Hashmah, Director of Salah District, highlighted the significance of reviving the occasion that heralded the dawn of the Prophetic message, moving humanity from the darkness of ignorance and backwardness to the liberation and justice of Islam.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Hashmah described the emergence of Islam as a comprehensive revolution that freed people from the grip of pre-Islamic ignorance. With the birth of the Prophet, he added, the Muslim Ummah was united under divine revelation, empowered by God to embark on Islamic conquests that reached as far as France, India, and Sindh.
Al-Hashmah noted that enemies of Islam have today managed to weaken the Ummah, leaving it subservient and vulnerable. 'What is happening in Palestine, especially in Gaza, poses a threat to the very existence of the Islamic nation and seeks to break the will of its people,' he said, stressing the need to return sincerely to the teachings of the Holy Qur'an, uphold Islamic values, and honor the birth of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.
In his speech on behalf of the guests, Abdul Khaliq Al-Junaid, Director of Al-Ta'izziyah District, affirmed that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is a celebration of the pride and dignity of Muslims. He urged everyone to actively participate in the central gathering marking the occasion on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal at Al-Rasul Al-Azam Square in Mafarq Mawiyah.
For his part, Talal Al-Sufi, Director of the Cleansing and Improvement Fund, reviewed the Fund's preparations for the celebration, including comprehensive cleaning campaigns across streets, neighborhoods, and public and private facilities. He also called on the Fund's workers and employees to join a large procession on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal to Al-Rasul Al-Azam Square to mark this blessed occasion.
Meanwhile, Dr. Asim Al-Sharjabi, Director of the Environmental Department at the Fund, stressed that the birth of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, signaled the downfall of polytheism and the dawn of truth, justice, and mercy for humanity, lifting oppression, tyranny, and injustice from people's lives.
