Sanaa: The General Directorate of Traffic Police today launched the operation of the traffic sticker system on the front windshield of vehicles, indicating that the vehicle has been renewed for the latest year and all its violations have been fully paid.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch, the Director General of Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Barashi, affirmed that launching the system's operation comes within the plan to develop traffic work and update monitoring mechanisms, contributing to organizing traffic flow and reducing routine procedures faced by drivers on the roads.
He pointed out that the implementation of the system and procedures comes within the framework of the Traffic Police's efforts to develop traffic performance and facilitate procedures for citizens, ensuring that vehicle owners are not subjected to stopping and requesting documents. The traffic officer only needs to look at the traffic sticker to know the vehicle's traffic status without needing to request document inspection and verification, delaying people's movement.
Dr. Al-Barashi noted that the new sticker carries precise security marks, is encoded in the system, and its serial number matches the vehicle license number. He explained that launching the system's operation will contribute to speeding up traffic flow, reducing unnecessary vehicle stops during traffic campaigns, and enhancing the efficiency of field work.
He considered the system's operation an advanced step that will help enhance the level of traffic discipline and ensure vehicle owners' commitment to renewing their vehicle data on time, positively reflecting on organizing traffic work and improving the level of road safety.
