Sanaa: A training workshop has been launched by the Ard al-Jannatain Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Association in the Serwah district of Marib governorate. This initiative, coordinated with the local authority and the Bunyan Foundation, aims to qualify facilitators of productive groups.
According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop was inaugurated with the presence of prominent figures, including the Deputy Governor of Marib for Development Affairs and Serwah district Coordinator, Daris al-Muwaidi, the district's Mobilization Officer Saeed Omeir, and the Head of Ard Al-Jannatain Agricultural Cooperative Association, Naji al-Dahnani. This effort is part of a broader strategy to enhance the skills of local personnel and promote cooperative work within the agricultural sector.
The workshop's primary goal is to train facilitators, equipping them with the necessary skills to manage and activate productive groups. This initiative is expected to empower local communities, promote solidarity and cooperation, and support sustainable agricultural development through community partnerships and organized institutional work.
During the event, Marib undersecretary al-Muwaidi emphasized the significance of productive groups in organizing agricultural activities and improving production levels. He highlighted the shift from individual work to structured cooperative efforts as a means to boost farmers' incomes and enhance local food security.
This workshop is part of a series of training programs that the association is implementing in collaboration with relevant authorities. It is aligned with their plan to expand cooperative work, empower farmers, enhance their skills, and increase local production in the Serwah district, ultimately serving the community and supporting comprehensive development.
