Dhamar: Tribal and official efforts in Dhamar province have successfully resolved a murder case that occurred a year ago between the Al-Salhi family from Al-Safl Wasab District and the Al-Faqih family from Dhoran District.
According to Yemen News Agency, the resolution came as a result of a call by Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalek Al-Houthi to address murder and revenge cases, enhance social cohesion, and support efforts to liberate the homeland, break the blockade, and recover looted resources.
During a gathering to mark the resolution, members of the House of Representatives and Shura Council emphasized the role of tribal initiatives in managing social disputes and their aftermath. They highlighted forgiveness and reconciliation as fundamental values in Yemeni society, contributing to security, stability, and reinforcing a sense of brotherhood and solidarity among community members.
Participants at the event praised the heirs of the deceased and the Al-Salhi family for their forgiveness gesture, emphasizing its reflection of social responsibility by prioritizing public interest and promoting reconciliation and mediation.
Acknowledgment was also given to the social figures, sheikhs, and dignitaries instrumental in resolving the case. Special mention was made of House of Representatives member Al-Nahiya, Shura Council member Al-Alawi, Sheikh of Bani Hayyi Makhlaf Al-Haddad, and Sheikh Abdulrahim Al-Salhi for their contributions.
Participants reiterated the importance of unified efforts to foster reconciliation, resolve social conflicts, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, tolerance, and cooperation within the community.
