Mahweet Officials Inspect Progress on Key Road Paving Projects

Mahweet: Engineers from the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit and the Agricultural Cooperative Association in Mahweet City inspected on Wednesday progress on two road-paving projects at the entrances to Masjid Al-Ar village and Al-Akshi in Al-Sharqi locality. The officials reviewed the progress of the 250-meter road-paving project at the entrance to Masjid Al-Ar village and the 100-meter Al-Akshi road project, as well as the support needs of community initiatives, particularly those related to road paving and improvement.

According to Yemen News Agency, the unit's representative in the province, engineer Mukhtar Al-Turki, stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and strengthening community participation to complete projects included in the various stages of support for community initiatives across the province's districts. He also underscored the need to make the most of available resources to implement priority projects addressing citizens' needs.

For his part, Executive Director of the city's Agricultural Cooperative Association Jaber Al-Shaathmi emphasized the importance of partnership and coordination between supporting entities and the local community in implementing community initiatives. He noted that road paving is a priority for improving services and facilitating residents' movement, particularly in mountainous areas.
