Sana'a: On this day, March 5, the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition targeted civilian areas across several Yemeni governorates, resulting in the death and injury of numerous citizens and the widespread destruction of properties and infrastructure.

According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression began on March 5, 2016, with airstrikes on residential villages in Jabal Habashi and Mawiyah districts near Taiz. The attacks led to the destruction of homes and damage to various properties. Similar airstrikes targeted the strategic Jabal Hailan in Marib governorate, destroying equipment and homes in the area.

The following year, on March 5, 2017, the coalition continued its campaign, launching raids across Dhamar, Saada, and Al-Hodeida governorates. Notably, the attacks included artillery shelling and missile strikes that damaged homes, farms, and public roads, severely impacting the livelihoods of local residents.

In 2018, the aggression resulted in further casualties and destruction. A child was killed and several citizens were injured due to artillery shelling in Taiz. The airstrikes also targeted districts in Hajjah and Saada, causing extensive damage to civilian infrastructure and properties.

March 5, 2019, saw continued violence as a child was injured and various areas in Al-Hodeida were subjected to shelling. The coalition's forces targeted infrastructure and civilian properties with artillery and heavy machine gun fire, leading to widespread devastation.

The aggression persisted into 2020, with air raids targeting multiple governorates, including Hajjah, Marib, and Sana'a. Artillery shells and gunfire resulted in injuries to civilians and further destruction of homes and public facilities in Al-Hodeida.

On March 5, 2021, the coalition launched numerous air raids in Marib and Al-Jawf, causing significant damage to properties. The attacks extended to Al-Hodeida, where reconnaissance aircraft and mercenaries created combat fortifications and shelled multiple areas with artillery.

The violence continued on March 5, 2022, as Saudi army fire and missile shelling injured civilians, including an African migrant, in Saada. The coalition's airstrikes targeted Haradh and other districts, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.

Most recently, on March 5, 2023, the aggression's mercenaries fortified positions in Taiz and Al-Hodeida, launching artillery and gunfire attacks. Tragically, on March 5, 2024, a child was killed by a cluster bomb in Saada, a remnant of the coalition's ongoing military operations.
