Sana'a: A workshop was held on Thursday in Sana'a governorate on the implementation plan for summer activities and courses for the year 1447 AH, specifically for the executive committees and directors of summer schools in the districts.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Abdul Basit al-Hadi emphasized the importance of everyone contributing to community service. He stressed the need to change teachers' methods of interacting with students to better convey information, instill it in their minds, and apply it practically in their lives. He also pointed to the importance of remembering the crimes committed by the American enemy against the peoples of the world, as well as the examples of struggle and resistance against it in several countries, and how this resistance was able to defeat the aggression despite the disparity in resources and equipment.
The governor noted the people's eagerness for education under the Quranic curriculum, which benefits the individual, society, and the nation, based on the principle that "if the goal is clear, the work becomes sacred." He pointed out that any nation striving to build its future generations represents a successful model and a living example of civilized behavior. The Governor of Sana'a urged the advancement of initiatives that seek God's pleasure and preserve the nation's honor, dignity, and standing.
He indicated that summer schools are an important platform for promoting Quranic culture and instilling noble Islamic concepts and values within society, especially given the fierce onslaught the Muslim world faces, aimed at subjugating its youth and distorting its identity.
Meanwhile, the mobilization officials in the governorate, Fayez al-Hanami, and the education sector official, Talib Dahhan, emphasized the importance of holding summer schools to enhance community awareness and instill correct concepts in students and all members of society. Al-Hanami and Dahhan called on the relevant authorities to cooperate in implementing and ensuring the success of this year's summer schools, stressing the importance of everyone demonstrating a high level of responsibility and competence in raising future generations.
The workshop, attended by district directors and officials from the mobilization, education, and religious endowments and guidance sectors, reviewed the implementation plan for summer activities and courses for the executive committees and directors of summer schools in the districts. Participants discussed the circular issued by the governorate's sub-committee for summer activities and courses, along with the timetable, and the formation of the executive committees for the courses in the districts.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants received materials for the workshops to be held at the district and sub-district levels regarding preparations for this year's summer schools.
