Taiz:The Yemeni armed forces have renewed their appeal for the Saudi-backed troops remaining in Taiz city to accept peace initiatives proposed by local leaders and dignitaries, emphasizing the importance of protecting civilian lives.
According to Yemen News Agency, a military source emphasized the warning issued to these forces about the consequences of continuing to block roads leading to Taiz, urging them to consider local authorities' efforts to establish safe passages for civilians.
The military source stated that the Yemeni armed forces are determined not to allow Saudi-backed extremist groups to endanger the residents of Taiz by using them as human shields for their criminal activities. They also expressed solidarity with the citizens of Taiz against these militias, which have been responsible for numerous crimes in recent months.
The source further called on those who have been misled into joining these forces to seize the opportunity presented by the presidential amnesty, urging them to prioritize their lives over defending the Saudi enemy's interests.
