Yemeni Government Condemns Saudi Threats Against Tribal Gatherings

Sanaa:Government spokesman Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti has issued a strong condemnation against threats made by Saudi Arabia to target civilian tribal gatherings in Yemen. He warned that any such actions would provoke an unprecedented response.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Bukhaiti described the threats as indicative of a political and moral collapse within the Saudi regime. He argued that labeling civilian tribal gatherings as military targets was tantamount to planned war crimes and crimes against humanity as per international law.

Al-Bukhaiti emphasized that threatening Yemeni tribes is a grave mistake for which Saudi Arabia would pay dearly. He noted that history has repeatedly shown that those who confront Yemen's tribes face inevitable defeat. He highlighted the tribal nakaf, a traditional form of peaceful mobilization, as a legitimate right rooted in Yemen's heritage and recognized under religious principles, custom, and law.

He further commented on the Saudi regime's confusion and reckless decisions, attributing them to military and moral defeats suffered at the hands of the Yemeni people. Al-Bukhaiti accused the Saudi regime of having a criminal nature and disregarding all boundaries.

The spokesman praised Yemen's tribes, sheikhs, and dignitaries, urging them to remain prepared, unite, and mobilize efforts to counter Saudi aggression. He reaffirmed that the Yemeni people were engaged in a decisive struggle against what he described as unjust aggression and a brutal blockade.

In conclusion, Al-Bukhaiti stressed the commitment of the Yemeni people to continue their fight for liberation, aiming to achieve full independence, liberate their land, and restore their rights, regardless of the sacrifices required.
