Al-hodeidah: The Yemeni Red Crescent Society branch in Al-Hodeidah Governorate launched a livelihood improvement project in Al-Sukhna District, funded by the Qatar Red Crescent. The project includes the distribution of 171 sheep to 57 of the poorest families and people with disabilities. The aim is to empower them economically and provide a sustainable source of income through livestock breeding, thereby contributing to improving their living conditions.
According to Yemen News Agency, Branch Director Jaber Al-Razhi explained that the project is part of the Society's efforts to enhance humanitarian and development interventions that serve the most vulnerable segments of society. He noted that beneficiary families were selected according to specific criteria to ensure that support reaches those most in need, achieving a lasting positive impact.
For his part, Al-Sukhna District Director Mohammed Aqqari praised the Qatar Red Crescent's support and the Yemeni Red Crescent's efforts in implementing targeted projects that address the needs of the local community. He affirmed that the project represents an important step toward improving the living standards of the targeted families and contributes to driving rural development in the district.
