Sana'a: The teams of the General Authority for Zakat, Future University, and Yemen International Bank defeated the teams of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Military Heart Center, and Yemen Airways, respectively, in the second round of the Ninth Yemeni Telecommunications Football Championship for Companies. According to Yemen News Agency, in Group Four of the championship organized by the Federation of Companies and sponsored by Yemen Telecommunications, the Zakat Authority team overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat the Ministry of Youth and Sports team 3-2, securing their first victory in the tournament. The Ministry of Youth team had taken an early lead with two quick goals from Nawaf Al-Amri and Abdu Al-Idrisi, before the Zakat Authority team responded with three goals scored by Baligh Al-Kahlani, Faris Al-Jum'an, and Sharaf Al-Din Al-Qatami. With this result, the Zakat Authority team raised its points tally to four, while the Ministry of Youth and Sports team remained at three points. In Group A, Future University secured their first victory of the tournament, defeating the Military Heart Center team 3-2. Iyad Hadian and Kamal Al-Hamdani scored for Future University, while Mufid Al-Ruhani and Amjad Al-Houbani scored for the Military Heart Center. This win puts Future University level on three points with the Military Heart Center. In the second match of the same group, Yemen International Bank earned their first three points of the tournament with a 5-3 victory over Yemen Airways. Bank player Mahmoud Malek shone, scoring four goals (a super hat-trick), while his teammate Yassin Al-Sururi added the fifth. Abdulmajid Abdullah and Suleiman Al-Wasabi scored for Yemen Airways, leaving both teams with three points each.
