Zakat Authority Office in Dhamar Holds Event Marking Prophet’s Birthday Anniversary

Sana'a: The branch of the General Authority for Zakat in Dhamar Governorate held a speech event on Thursday to commemorate the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. The event, attended by Shura Council member Hassan Abdulrazzaq, highlighted the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday as a means of strengthening the connection with the Prophet and following his example and morals.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dhamar Deputy Governor Mohammed Abdulrazzaq called for broad participation in the anniversary activities and preparations for the central celebration on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal, describing the occasion as a significant spiritual event that reflects Muslims' love and devotion to the Prophet. He emphasized that Yemen, with its deep religious and civilizational heritage, remains committed to its values and principles, stressing the need to draw lessons from the Prophet's life and translate them into practices that promote dignity, unity, and solidarity.

Zakat Authority Office Director Ibrahim Al-Mutawakkil said the commemoration represents a spiritual and cultural occasion reflecting Yemenis' historic and emotional bond with Prophet Muhammad, urging wider participation in related activities and the revival of his teachings. Cultural activist Nasr Al-Dhalimi noted that the occasion serves as an opportunity to strengthen ties with the Prophet's message and draw inspiration from his life, providing guidance in reforming behavior and promoting moral values. He stressed the need for the Muslim nation to return to the Prophet's teachings in addressing contemporary intellectual and ethical challenges.
