Dhamar: Celebratory events were held today in Jabal Al-Sharq District, Dhamar Governorate, to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. In the sub-districts of Al-Sharqi, Quraf, Rub' Al-Hadd, and Murabba' Mikhlaf Bani As'ad, cultural and oratory events were organized under the slogan, 'Welcome to the Anniversary of the Birth of Light.'
According to Yemen News Agency, speakers at the events emphasized that the Prophet's birthday is a unifying occasion for all Muslims, and that celebrating it is an expression of gratitude to God for the blessing of guidance and a practical response to repeated insults against the Prophet by the enemies of Islam. They called for decorating streets, homes, and buildings with ornaments and green lights, and for diversifying and intensifying celebratory displays at all levels in preparation for broad participation in the central event at Al-Rasul Al-A'zam Square in the governorate center on the 12th of Rabi' Al-Awwal, as a means to anger the enemies and confront offenses against the Prophet and sacred sites.
The events featured recitations of prayers, chants, popular festive songs, and traditional anthems expressing the greatness of the occasion and the deep reverence Yemenis have held for the Prophet since the dawn of the Muhammadan message.
