Ain Center Condemns Saudi Airstrikes in Yemeni Governorates

Sanaa:The Ain Humanitarian Center for Rights and Development has condemned the recent airstrikes conducted by Saudi forces against civilians in the Yemeni governorates of Sanaa, Hodeidah, and Saada. These attacks, taking place over the past 48 hours, have raised significant alarm due to their impact on civilian populations and infrastructure.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Center has labeled these actions as a dangerous escalation, pointing out that they violate international humanitarian law and international covenants. The strikes have resulted in the deaths of numerous civilians, including women and children, and caused injuries to many others.

One of the reported attacks targeted the workers' housing of a cement factory in Sanaa's Hamdan District, resulting in the deaths of eight civilians, among them three women and four children, and injuring 15 others. Another attack in the Asr area killed four citizens, including two children, and injured the wife of Fouad Sharaf Al-Shaabi.

In Hodeidah Governorate, a strike on Abdul-Wahid Al-Wasabi's home in Al-Tuhayta District led to the deaths of five family members and the injury of their daughter. Meanwhile, in Saada Governorate, an attack on a shelter center injured seven African migrants, and artillery shelling in Shada District injured a civilian.

The total toll from these attacks, as reported, includes 27 martyrs and 42 wounded, with most victims being women and children. The Ain Humanitarian Center has called for accountability and investigation into these actions, holding the Saudi regime responsible for the violations and their consequences. The Center emphasized that such targeting of civilians cannot be justified and that ongoing violations without accountability may lead to further crimes.
