Al-bayda: Residents of Al-Bayda governorate gathered on Tuesday in three celebration squares to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.
According to Yemen News Agency, in Al-Bayda Square, residents from the districts of Mukayras, Al-Zahir, Al-Sawma'ah, Dhi Na'im, Maswarah, Al-Bayda City, and its countryside gathered in a large official and popular turnout. At the Great Prophet Square in the central area, residents from the districts of Al-Sawadiyah, Radman, Al-Malaajim, Al-Tafah, Na'man, Nati', and Al-Wahbiyah arrived in large numbers, demonstrating Yemenis' love for the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers. Rada' Square area also witnessed a large gathering of residents from the districts of Rada'a, Al-Riyashiyyah, Al-Shariyah, Al-Arsh, Wald Rabi', Al-Qurayshiyyah, and Sabah, amid a notable official and popular presence.
At the events, attended by members of the Presidential Committee for the Prophet's Birthday, Dr. Qasim Al-Humran and Judge Nabil Al-Azzani, along with governorate deputy governors, General Mobilization officials, local and executive leaders, and tribal sheikhs, governor Abdullah Idris said the large turnout demonstrated the prominent place of the Prophet in the lives of Yemenis, who had come from across the governorate to commemorate the occasion.
The governor said the crowds were sending a message to enemies of the Muslim nation who insult the Quran, holy sites, and religious figures. He stressed that the people of Yemen take pride in commemorating the Prophet's birthday and that the gatherings demonstrated the Prophet's place in the lives of a nation in confronting aggression and tyranny. He highlighted the activities held throughout the governorate to mark the occasion, which he said demonstrated cultural, religious, and literary momentum reflecting Muhammadan values in the lives of the Yemeni people.
Idris praised the notable turnout of Al-Bayda residents and their heroic positions throughout various historical periods. The governor also welcomed the military operations carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces, missile force, and drone force against the Saudi enemy, as well as the imposition of the 'Siege for Siege' equation.
He addressed the situation of the Palestinian people in Gaza, referring to genocide, starvation, and displacement amid international silence and complicity by some Arab and Islamic governments. He affirmed that the Yemeni people would maintain their principled and humanitarian support for Gaza regardless of the sacrifices involved. Idris, on behalf of the governorate's residents, renewed their pledge of loyalty to Revolutionary Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and the political leadership, affirming their commitment to steadfastness, confronting challenges, and ending aggression, siege, and occupation.
The events featured poetry, traditional bara' dances, and celebratory chants expressing joy at the occasion.
