Al-Bayda’s Agriculture Sector Enhances Cooperative Associations with Furniture Delivery

Al-bayda: The Agriculture Sector in Al-Bayda Governorate has successfully delivered complete furniture sets to five agricultural cooperative associations located in the districts of Mukayras, Dhi Na’im, Al-Sawma’ah, Sabah, and Al-Tufah. This initiative, which came at a total cost of five million Yemeni riyals, marks a significant step in supporting the region’s agricultural development.



According to Yemen News Agency, this delivery is part of the second phase of an institutional development program aimed at strengthening associations within the governorate. The program is being carried out in coordination with the local authority and under the supervision of the Bunyan Development Foundation, with funding provided by the Agricultural and Fisheries Initiative Financing Unit.



Abdullah Idris, the Governor of Al-Bayda, expressed his approval of the empowerment of cooperative associations through the provision of essential institutional and office infrastructure. He highlighted the local authority’s commitment to rehabilitating and developing these associations as part of a broader effort to support the agricultural sector and build a productive system that advances agricultural development.



Governor Idris also described cooperative associations as vital tools for organized community work and sustainable development projects. He emphasized that furnishing these associations is a crucial step in boosting their institutional performance and expanding their field activities.



Engineer Mohammed Al-Haidari, head of the governorate’s agriculture sector, stated that the new furniture enhances the operational performance of the associations and contributes to creating an appropriate institutional work environment. This enhancement is expected to enable the associations to better serve the agricultural sector.
