Al-mahwit: Al-Mahwit University organized today a speech and cultural event celebrating the anniversary of the noble Prophet's birth (may the best prayers and purest peace be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, Hassan Sharaf al-Din, the Secretary-General of the Presidency and Head of the Presidential Committee Supervising the Mawlid al-Nabawi Events in the Governorate, emphasized the importance of commemorating this religious occasion. He highlighted that such celebrations reflect the Yemeni people's love for the Messenger of God (PBUH) and enhance awareness of his morals, biography, and principles. This, he noted, contributes significantly to entrenching a faith-based identity and moral values among youth and students.
He also praised the university's proactive role in organizing cultural, educational, and awareness events. He noted that the institution bears the responsibility of correcting misconceptions, as awareness and knowledge are essential pillars in addressing challenges.
The event, which was attended by numerous directors of executive offices, college deans, faculty members, academic and administrative staff, and students, featured poetic and chanting segments expressing the status of the noble Prophet (PBUH).
In conclusion, the General Mobilization in Al-Mahwit Governorate honored the university president and several staff members. This gesture was in appreciation of their efforts and contributions to the university's development and its role in serving education and society.
