Hodeida: The Zakat Authority office in Al-Mina district of the Hodeida governorate organized a speech event to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.
According to Yemen News Agency, Hodeida's first undersecretary, Ahmed Al-Bashri, emphasized that celebrating the Prophet's birthday is a reflection of its significance and its profound place in the hearts of the Yemeni people. He highlighted that this commemoration renews their connection to the Prophet's life, stances, guidance, values, and principles.
Al-Bashri further noted that the anniversary serves as an opportunity to remember the Prophet's life and his steadfast positions in confronting falsehood and upholding the truth. This, he said, helps in strengthening the awareness of his message and his esteemed position among Muslims.
He described the Prophet's birthday as an annual occasion to extract lessons from his life and renew adherence to his teachings in facing the challenges confronting the nation. He underscored the importance of organizing events that reflect the religious and cultural significance of the occasion.
Tariq Miftah, Director of the Zakat Office in Al-Mina District, spoke about the religious and spiritual importance of commemorating the occasion. He stressed the need to recall the Prophet's life and efforts to convey his message and establish Islamic values.
Miftah emphasized the importance of using the Prophet's birthday as a time to enhance awareness of his biography and remember his positions and the values they embodied in confronting polytheism and falsehood.
