Sana'a: Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, Prime Minister Ahmed Ghalib Al-Rahwi, President of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Dr. Abdul-Mu'min Shujaa Al-Din, and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Abdul-Salam Hashoul, attended a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development and its affiliated units to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, Prime Minister Al-Rahwi extended congratulations to the ministry's leadership and staff, emphasizing the significance of the commemoration, which is a precursor to the central celebrations held by the Yemeni people on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal. He highlighted the unique nature of this year's anniversary, reinforcing the Yemeni people's deep-rooted devotion to the Prophet.
Al-Rahwi urged public officials to emulate the Prophet's character in their service, underlining the importance of honesty and integrity. He welcomed representatives from Hamas and other Palestinian factions, noting their participation as a source of pride for Yemen. Al-Rahwi condemned media campaigns distorting the situation in Gaza and criticized Arab states normalizing relations with Israel. He reiterated that Palestine belongs to its people and dismissed the two-state solution.
Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development Dr. Khaled Al-Hawali emphasized the sacredness of the occasion for Yemenis, reflecting their spiritual connection to the Prophet. He described the celebrations as a means of strengthening loyalty to the Prophet and adhering to his teachings. Al-Hawali noted Yemen's massive public gatherings to mark the occasion, despite regional challenges.
Prominent scholar Fouad Naji described the Prophet's birthday as a unifying event for Muslims to renew their faith. He praised the Yemeni people's resilience and their firm stance with Gaza, contrasting it with Arab regimes allied with Israel. Naji highlighted Yemen's regional and international significance under its leadership.
Hamas representative Mu'adh Abu Shamala underscored the importance of the anniversary as Gaza faces severe challenges. He praised Yemen's support for Palestine, describing it as a courageous stance that extends beyond mere condemnation.
The ceremony saw attendance from deputy ministers, heads of public institutions, and senior officials, all reaffirming the importance of the upcoming central commemoration on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.
