Al-Shoula Triumphs in Al-Zahra District Football Tournament

Al-hodeidah: Al-Shoula team was crowned champion of the Prophet's Birthday Football Tournament in Al-Zahra District, Al-Hodeidah Governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament was organized by the district's Office of Youth and Sports, featuring 16 teams competing under a knockout system. Al-Shoula clinched the championship cup in an exhilarating final match against Al-Raja, which concluded with a penalty shootout victory (5-4). The decisive game took place at Al-Sadd Al-Ma'ras Stadium in the Al-Wa'idhat area.

The final match attracted a large audience and demonstrated significant community involvement from local residents, highlighting the strong enthusiasm for sports among the youth and people in rural Al-Hodeidah.

Following the match, the top teams and outstanding players were recognized by the Directors of the Youth and Sports Offices in Al-Zahra and Al-Mughlaff, Abdullah Maqbool and Ali Mudhwani, together with the head of the Youth Development Association in the district, Ali Hajjaji. Al-Shoula received the championship cup, while Al-Raja secured the runner-up trophy.

Player Majed Al-Ra'eeni from Al-Shoula was honored as Best Player, Anas Ali from Al-Raja earned the Top Scorer title, and Mohammed Shouai from Al-Shoula was named Best Goalkeeper.
