Sana'a: The Sheikh Mohsen Abu Nashatan Educational Centers in Sana'a Governorate, specifically the Prophet Al-Akram Center, organized a cultural event today to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein bin Ali under the slogan "Never shall we submit to humiliation."
According to Yemen News Agency, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashatan, Head of the General Authority for Zakat, emphasized the significance of Ashura as an occasion to reflect on sacrifice and steadfastness, following Imam Hussein's example in defending the principles of Islam. He noted that the tragedy of Karbala stemmed from accumulated issues and the nation's deviation from the prophetic path. Karbala remains a symbol of sacrifice, selflessness, and liberation, inspiring those who strive for truth and justice.
Abu Nashatan highlighted the commemoration as a spiritual milestone for instilling awareness and drawing lessons from Karbala's teachings on patience and responsibility, thereby strengthening faith and the spirit of sacrifice. He urged the translation of this remembrance into practical actions that build generations committed to faith principles inspired by Imam Hussein and fortified by Quranic culture.
During the event, students presented accounts of Imam Hussein's life and legacy, emphasizing the importance of confronting deviations in Islam. The speeches underscored learning from historical betrayals and their lasting impacts. The current Muslim world's contrast with the resolute Resistance Axis countries was noted, attributing their strength to Imam Hussein's enduring legacy.
