Amran: A meeting in Amran governorate, chaired by Governor Dr. Faisal Juma'an, discussed Sunday ongoing efforts to address community issues in Suwayr District and strengthen security, stability, and social cohesion.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants reviewed a range of community issues requiring collective efforts to resolve, particularly tribal disputes and cases of revenge-related conflicts, as well as ways to promote public order and reinforce stability across the district.
Governor Juma'an emphasized the importance of coordination between official institutions and community actors to address outstanding disputes, stressing the need to rely on legal frameworks and a sense of national responsibility in resolving conflicts while safeguarding rights and public security. He noted that the local authority continues to monitor and engage with community issues, making use of available resources to support reconciliation efforts and preserve social harmony and national unity.
The governor also stressed that the current stage requires collective responsibility to halt tribal conflicts, address their consequences, and promote values of tolerance, cooperation, and social solidarity among citizens. He praised the role of community leaders in mediating disputes and reconciliation efforts, describing their work as essential to maintaining cohesion and reinforcing unity within the governorate.
Participants at the meeting reaffirmed the importance of continued coordination between government bodies and community components to resolve disputes and identify appropriate solutions that support social stability. They also emphasized that strengthening social cohesion and reconciliation is a shared responsibility, expressing readiness to continue efforts aimed at containing conflicts and promoting peaceful coexistence while maintaining social order across Suwayr district.
