Al-hodeida: Aston Villa team was crowned champions of the Mawlid al-Nabawi football tournament in Al-Mina District, Al-Hodeida Governorate, organized by the district's sports enthusiasts with the participation of 16 teams in a knockout system.
According to Yemen News Agency, Aston Villa secured the first-place cup after defeating their opponents, Al-Irshad team, in the final match on penalties, following a 2-2 draw in regular time. The match was attended by the First Deputy Governor, Ahmed Al-Bishari.
Following the match, a honoring ceremony took place in the presence of a large crowd. The First Deputy Governor, Al-Bishari, along with the Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the governorate, Imad Al-Bar'ei, and the Head of the Football Association branch, Ahmed Al-Rajwi, presented Aston Villa with the first-place cup and Al-Irshad with the second-place cup, in addition to honoring the most outstanding players of the tournament.
