Sana'a: Attorney General Judge Abdul Salam Al-Houthi conducted an inspection of the Social Guidance House in the Capital Secretariat, focusing on the conditions and welfare of juvenile residents. During his visit, he was joined by several judicial and social care officials, including Judge Taha Aqba of the Capital's Court of Appeal, Judge Ahmed Al-Khubi of the Juvenile Court, and Juvenile Prosecution Deputy Judge Ahmed Al-Mahdi. The delegation examined the home's activities and the care programs available for the children.

According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor for Social Services and Care Sector, Mohammed Aqabat, was also present during the visit. Judge Al-Houthi engaged with the children to understand their needs and evaluated their legal situations. A subsequent meeting led by the Attorney General delved into the home's requirements and explored ways to address challenges impeding its support for juveniles.

Aqabat underscored the significance of providing ongoing resources for the juveniles and enhancing the home's capacity. He emphasized the critical roles of the Capital Municipality and Sana'a Governorate in fulfilling their obligations to support the facility.

Judge Al-Houthi commended the Social Guidance Home's administration and staff for their dedication to juvenile care despite limited resources. The meeting concluded with recommendations to strengthen collaboration between judicial authorities and the Ministry of Social Affairs, aiming to overcome existing hurdles and bridge gaps. It also proposed continued joint efforts to tackle emerging issues and preparing for a future meeting between Sana'a Governorate and the Capital Municipality to clarify roles and responsibilities.

The participants highlighted the necessity of allocating independent budgets for social guidance homes, tailored to their unique functions and needs, distinct from the budgets for social care facilities.
