According to Yemen News Agency, Australia was projected to become the largest exporter of red meat to the United States in 2024, offering lower prices and leaner cuts of meat that the US lacked. This move is seen as a significant opportunity for Australian beef producers to expand their market reach and capitalize on the growing demand for quality meat products in the US. "We welcome the removal of these tariffs," Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wang told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. "It's good for Australian beef producers." However, despite the positive development, Australia remains focused on securing further exemptions, aiming for a comprehensive removal of tariffs on all Australian goods to enhance bilateral trade relations.
