Sana'a: The Cancer Control Fund and the National Center for Oncology Treatment organized a solidarity stand today in Sana'a with the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. Participants in the vigil, which included notable figures such as Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Madani, Chairman of the Fund's Board of Directors, and Dr. Abdullah Thawabeh, Director General of the National Center, expressed strong condemnation of what they described as crimes of genocide and starvation by the Zionist enemy, supported by the United States, against the people of Gaza.
According to Yemen News Agency, those present at the rally criticized the international community, particularly Arab and Islamic nations, for their perceived inaction and silence in the face of these events. They questioned the global community's passivity, asking, "How long will two billion Muslims and the people of the world continue to watch the Zionist scum kill the people of Gaza with hunger, disease, and murder?"
The participants highlighted the critical humanitarian crisis, emphasizing that the deliberate use of starvation and denial of medical supplies constitutes an unforgivable crime against humanity. They argued that the suffering of Gaza's children due to hunger and disease is not only a tragedy but also a reflection of the failure of human conscience and international law.
In a powerful message to the people of Gaza, the participants declared, "You are not alone. We live your pain, your hunger, your disease, and all your suffering, and you will be victorious, Allah willing." The statement released at the vigil condemned the ongoing blockade and the denial of essential supplies to the Gaza Strip, calling these actions crimes against humanity.
The statement urged the international community to take immediate action to lift the blockade and end what they described as a slow-motion genocide. It detailed the dire situation in Gaza's hospitals and health centers, which are overwhelmed with cases of severe malnutrition and lack the resources to respond effectively.
The call to action extended to people worldwide, urging them to apply pressure to ensure the entry of food, medicines, and medical teams into Gaza. The statement also held the US administration accountable for its role in what they termed a systematic war of starvation and genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, amidst ongoing Israeli aggression and blockades.
