Sana'a: The Sana'a Capital team secured a spot in the final of the Martyr President Saleh al-Sammad Football Championship for government ministries and institutions, following a penalty shootout victory over the Ministry of Youth and Sports team today at Al-Zirafi Stadium.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Capital Sana'a clinched the win 4-2 on penalties after the match ended in a 1-1 draw during regulation time. Abdulaziz Al-Jamaei opened the scoring for the Secretariat with a successful penalty kick, while Jalal Al-Qatta' netted the equalizer for the Ministry of Youth and Sports with a skillful strike past goalkeeper Mohammed Ibrahim.
The Capital Sana'a is now set to face the Public Telecommunications Corporation team in a highly anticipated final this coming Wednesday to determine the champion of the tournament's second edition, which is organized annually by the Ministry of Youth and Sports during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
