General

Taiz: A training course focusing on the field of executive development units for the Al Taiziyah Agricultural Cooperative Association has been successfully concluded in the Taiz province. The course aimed to equip members of the association with essential methodologies and mechanisms for developmental and agricultural work.

According to Yemen News Agency, the course was organized by the "Bonyan" Academy for Training and Qualification under the Associations Program. The initiative was funded by the local authority, represented by the Project Financing Unit in the province, in collaboration with the local district authority, the General Mobilization, and the Agricultural Cooperative Union. It targeted 24 trainees, including board members and unit coordinators from the executive management of the association, aligning their training with state policy and the Quranic March approach.

Over the span of six days, participants gained valuable knowledge and skills in preparing executive project plans for each unit and integrating these plans within a cohesive framework. The training culminated in the formulation of an emergency action plan for three district projects. These projects include the provision of improved seeds through a contract with a major farmer to cultivate hybrid corn seeds. Furthermore, surveys and studies were conducted for wells to facilitate contract farming, along with initiatives to provide solar energy, loans, seeds, farming contracts, loan agreements, and surveys across all units. The program also succeeded in mobilizing community contributions toward land reclamation, plowing, seed distribution, guidance, pest control, and marketing.

During the closing ceremony, Abdulwase' Al Shamsi, the Deputy for Development Affairs in the province, commended the implementation of such training courses and programs. He highlighted the local authority's dedication to qualifying agricultural cadres to advance the agricultural sector. Al Shamsi encouraged the trainees to consolidate all plans into a unified matrix and action plan for the Al Taiziyah Agricultural Association and to ensure their implementation.

In addition, Abdullah Al Jundi, the Agricultural Sector Official in the province; Muhammad Hibah, Director of the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit; and Abdulkhaliq Al Junaid, Director of Al Taiziyah District, stressed that the course aligns with the directives from revolutionary and political leadership. This alignment is further supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and the province's leadership as part of broader efforts to develop the association's agricultural sector, achieve food security, and move toward self-sufficiency.
