Delivery of Plans for Nine New Neighborhood Units in Ibb Governorate

Sana'a: The Office of the General Authority for Lands in Ibb Governorate delivered today plans for nine new neighborhood units in four districts to the Public Works Office for implementation on the ground. The delivered plans, handed over during a meeting chaired by the Governor of Ibb, Abdulwahid Salah, include five neighborhood units in the districts of Al-Dhihar, Al-Mashnah, and Jiblah, and four neighborhood units in Al-Qafr District.

According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Salah affirmed that the approval and delivery of these plans represent an important step in the urban development path of the governorate, reflecting the local authority's interest in urban planning that ensures optimal land use and curbs random construction. He pointed out that urban planning is one of the fundamental pillars of sustainable development, noting that providing integrated urban plans contributes to improving service levels, accommodating population growth, and preparing the infrastructure for developmental and investment projects.

The Governor of Ibb stressed the importance of preserving the plans and preventing any new constructions or violations that would hinder their implementation, directing the relevant authorities to maintain continuous coordination to complete the opening of streets and public facilities, and to apply these plans on the ground. He appreciated the efforts of the leadership and staff of the Lands Authority branch in preparing and completing these plans, affirming the local authority's continued support for all efforts aimed at developing the urban planning system and improving institutional performance.

For his part, the Director of the Lands Authority Office in the governorate, Engineer Zayed Badir, explained that these plans represent a qualitative addition to the urban planning system, contributing to guiding urban development, curbing random construction and violations, and elevating the level of services in the targeted areas. He addressed the role of the Public Works Office and relevant authorities in preserving the approved plans and proceeding with the implementation of street openings and facilities according to the approved designs.

Engineer Badir confirmed that during the upcoming phase, new plans will be completed in a number of districts, keeping pace with development needs and urban expansion.
