Deputy Foreign Minister Engages in Dialogue with Head of National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs

Sana'a: Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Abu Ras met with Abdulqader Al-Murtada, Head of the National Committee for Prisoners' Affairs, to discuss the latest developments regarding the prisoners' file. The meeting aimed to assess ongoing arrangements for implementing the agreement related to prisoners.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister was briefed on the latest developments concerning the prisoners' file. The discussions also highlighted the efforts of the National Committee for Prisoners' Affairs in recent negotiations, emphasizing its significant role in advancing this crucial humanitarian issue.

Abu Ras and Al-Murtada stressed that the prisoners' file remains a purely humanitarian concern, receiving priority and attention from both revolutionary and political leadership. They reiterated the government's commitment to implementing the agreement and translating it into tangible actions.

Furthermore, they expressed optimism that progress in this area would positively impact other humanitarian and economic issues. They hoped this would ultimately contribute to ending the aggression and blockade imposed on Yemen, paving the way for lasting peace.
