Sana'a: Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Nabih Nasser met with the National Junior Football Team during their training camp in the capital Sana'a, as they gear up for the AFC Asian Cup scheduled for May 5-22.
According to Yemen News Agency, Nasser commended the young players for their high spirits and talent, referring to them as the "future of Yemeni football" and a source of national pride. He emphasized the importance of discipline and adherence to the technical guidance provided by head coach Haitham al-Asbahi to ensure a commendable performance in the forthcoming continental tournament.
During the meeting, Undersecretary for the Sports Sector Ali Hadban highlighted that the training camp in Sana'a has offered an ideal setting for the players to implement technical strategies. Coach al-Asbahi provided a progress report on the camp, affirming that recent friendly matches against local clubs have greatly enhanced team cohesion and readiness.
The coaching staff and players expressed gratitude for the Ministry's support, pledging to give their utmost to achieve results that will bring joy to Yemeni fans both at home and abroad.
